Adoption Groups Can Start an Open Account to Purchase Merchandise at Petco

Petco is always looking for ways to improve the relationships with our partnered rescue organizations. We value what you do for the community and want to support your efforts in any way we can. We have a program being offered to all Petco APPROVED adoption organizations. Adoption groups can create an Open Account to purchase merchandise at Petco.

The Open Account application needs to be completely filled out and faxed to the number on it. It usually takes 7-10 business days to be processed. Then Accounting will contact the customer with an account number.

When applying, you need to:

• List the names of those authorized to use the account.
  • The authorized users all have the same account number and will be required to show their ID to verify that they are authorized users on the account.
  • It will be up to your organization to keep track of who makes purchases within your organization.
• Petco bills the adoption group at net 30 days.
• The purchaser must present a purchase order for the product being purchased on the account and the PO number is keyed into the POS.
