			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yes, I have taken a sip of the Social Media kool-aid and I love it.</p>
<p>I believe that Social Media (SM) is the medium to marketing and advertise effectively.  It&#8217;s not NEW news but I&#8217;m continually amazed about the impact it has on today&#8217;s increasingly technical savvy culture.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve shared this video before and the information still true. Click on the video below and pay attention to the info.  Then I&#8217;ll get into why you should take the leap into the SM culture.</p>

<p>Now after seeing those stats, you&#8217;re either amazed by them and ready to go -OR- skeptical about the entire medium.</p>
<p>Here are some reasons on why you SHOULD take advantage of SM marketing&#8230;<span id="more-197"></span></p>
<p><strong><em>1.) Mobile Smartphone and Tablet Devices = The way the Web is accessed.</em></strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">When was the last time you saw a regular cell phone? The majority of the phones nowadays are BlackBerrys, iPhones, or Android-variants. Now with the advent of tablet computing (iPad, BlackBerry Playbook, etc.), your consumer market is always open to your marketing strategies via advertisements through smartphone/tablet apps, tweets, posts and even the old venerable emails.</p>
<p><em><strong>2.) Tweet. Post. Shout. Link. Bump. Hoot. = Share.</strong></em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">As the video had displayed, &#8220;Word of Mouth&#8221; equals &#8220;World of Mouth&#8221;. Nothing spreads faster than a promotional, viral message from a trusted resource. The sooner and faster you can establish yourself as a trusted resource about your industry, the better. Your consumer base (followers, friends) will then in turn SHARE with their followers/friends driving your message to wide range of new, untapped, like-minded consumers. (Hope that got your attention.)</p>
<p><em><strong>3.) Don&#8217;t be content with creating a little bit of content.</strong></em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Here&#8217;s the litmus test for those who are willing to jump into SM<strong>.</strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Content is KING when it comes to SM. In order to be a resource, you have to have content&#8230; and lots of it. I&#8217;ve had customers who were totally jacked about wanting to have a SM account and to utilize it for generating new business. I was excited for them but the question I asked was:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="color: #800080;"><em>&#8220;<strong>What do you have to say?&#8221;</strong></em></span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>*Imagine &#8220;deer in the headlights graphic&#8221; here*</strong></span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong><span style="color: #800080;"><em>&#8220;That&#8217;s what I thought&#8230;&#8221;</em></span></strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Ideas for content: Create buzz for new product launches, new blog entry, updates on company best practices, customer-facing events, invite-only events, news articles about your specific industry, etc.</p>
